The process for having an event posted to the Master Calendar involves following a series of steps:
The Director of Student Activities must first approve events “in concept” to be sure that they are in line with the University's mission.
The Campus Rabbi must be consulted to be sure that events are held within timeframes that do not conflict with observances of the Shabbat or other Jewish holidays and that they are aligned with Jewish values.
The Master Calendar Committee reviews event requests and makes sure that the space and resources necessary for hosting a successful event are available on the date requested before approving the event for entry onto the Master Calendar. If there are competing requests for the same date, the Committee works with the competing parties to schedule events on dates that work best for all involved parties.
